Charkha Spinning Wheels In the Spring of 2007 I was on a yarn shop hop with a friend of mine, and I ran across a Charkha spinning wheel nestled in the corner of a yarn store. Needless to say, it went home with me, but I found the information available on the internet to be lacking. In knitting, Wool is King, and those of us with a wool allergy or intolerance sometimes have trouble finding the right information. Here is my humble attempt to collect links and information on this awesome and compact little gadget. Charkha Tips from Spin Off, 1983 and 1984 Journey Wheel Charkhas - beautiful (although expensive) Chakhras, but they also have PDF's on how to assemble and use attache and book charkhas. They also have a nice array of supplies, including cases.
